Dorma Kaba Door Closers
dormakaba is the Swiss-German group behind door closers in offices, hotels and public buildings worldwide. In India it has traded since 1997, first as Dorma Door Controls. We stock two Dorma Kaba closers. Both handle doors up to 80 kg, and we despatch from Delhi across India.
Dorma TS-68 price
The TS-68 costs ₹3,499, against a ₹4,334 list price. It is a surface-mounted hydraulic closer in an aluminium housing. The box includes the mounting kit. It suits wooden and metal doors up to 80 kg. In short, buy it for a normal main door, office door or shop door. Of course, the closer arm will show above the frame.
Dorma ITS-96 price
The ITS-96 EN 2–4 costs ₹17,499, against ₹23,168 list. It is an integrated transom closer. That is, it sits concealed inside the door leaf and frame, so nothing shows once the door closes. It carries the same 80 kg rating as the TS-68. Therefore the extra cost buys an invisible installation, not a stronger closer. Plan it before the door goes on, because the leaf needs routing for it.
Which Dorma closer for your door?
If the door is already in place, the TS-68 is the only realistic choice. Choose the ITS-96 only on a new or replacement door. The joinery must take the routing, and a visible arm must genuinely spoil the look. For lighter doors, meanwhile, the Aido XLC range starts at ₹899. Dorset closers start at ₹1,042.
Frequently Asked Questions about Dorma Kaba Door Closers
What is the price range of Dorma Kaba door closers?
We stock two: the TS-68 at ₹3,499 (list ₹4,334) and the concealed ITS-96 EN 2–4 at ₹17,499 (list ₹23,168). Both are rated for doors up to 80 kg, so the price gap buys a different installation, not a stronger closer.
What is Dormakaba, and how is it related to Aido?
dormakaba is the Swiss-German group behind door closers, access control and locks worldwide, trading in India since 1997 (first as Dorma Door Controls). Aido, which we also stock, is a separate India-based manufacturer that once traded as Dorma XL-C and still belongs to the dormakaba group. So Aido and Dorma Kaba share a corporate history but are sold here as two distinct ranges at different price points.
Should I buy the TS-68 or the ITS-96?
The TS-68 is a surface-mounted closer, so the arm shows above the frame; it fits almost any existing door. The ITS-96 sits concealed inside the door leaf and frame, so nothing shows once the door closes, but the leaf needs routing before it is hung. If the door is already in place, the TS-68 is the only realistic choice. Choose the ITS-96 only on a new or replacement door, and plan it before the joinery is cut.
Is Dormakaba a reliable door closer brand?
Yes. dormakaba is a global group with a presence in India since 1997, and both closers we stock carry the same 80 kg rating regardless of price, so reliability does not vary by model. It is a brand built for offices, hotels and public buildings, which is a heavier duty cycle than most home doors ever see.
Dorma Kaba or Aido XLC — which should I choose?
Both the TS-68 and ITS-96 top out at 80 kg. If your door is lighter than that, the Aido XLC range starts at ₹899 and does the same job for less. Choose Dorma Kaba specifically when you need the concealed ITS-96 look, or simply prefer the dormakaba name on a commercial door.
