Prices run as follows. The XLC-1090 costs ₹899, against a ₹1,185 list price. Next, the XLC-1000 costs ₹1,590 and the XLC-1001 costs ₹2,090. Then the XLC-1002S costs ₹2,722. Finally, the XLC-1004 costs ₹7,894, against ₹10,790. All five are hydraulic surface-mounted closers in a stainless finish. They suit wooden and metal doors, and each one includes the mounting hardware.

Choosing an Aido closer by door weight

Each model carries a rated door weight. The XLC-1000 takes 40 kg and the XLC-1001 takes 60 kg. The XLC-1090 takes 65 kg, while the XLC-1002S takes 80 kg. At the top, the XLC-1004 takes 120 kg. That is the heaviest rating in our whole catalogue. Two rules save returns. First, round up rather than down, because an under-rated closer slams and fails early. Second, measure the width of the door leaf as well as its weight. A wide door needs a higher rating than its weight alone suggests.

Aido or Dorma Kaba?

Same group, different positions in the market. Aido XLC covers the everyday range from ₹899 to ₹7,894. It suits most homes and small offices. The Dorma Kaba TS-68 at ₹3,499 and the concealed ITS-96 at ₹17,499 sit above it. The closer arm will show either way. So if your door is under 80 kg, the Aido range does the same job for less.
