Dorset Mortise Door Lock – Optio Gun Metal Finish | Black | Sleek, Durable & Corrosion-Resistant

Upgrade your interior with the Dorset Mortise Door Lock – Optio Gun Metal Finish, a refined door handle set designed to deliver both modern aesthetics and dependable performance. With its bold black (Gun Metal) tone, this hardware piece adds a sleek, contemporary edge to any space—whether residential or professional.

The Optio handle design is simple, ergonomic, and built for everyday comfort. It features smooth contours that feel secure and easy to grip. Whether you’re updating a main door, bedroom, or office entrance, this handle fits seamlessly into modern décor with minimal effort.

The Gun Metal finish gives the set a matte, metallic black appearance that’s both stylish and subtle. To enhance its durability, the surface is treated with a high-quality lacquer. This protective coating resists scratches, moisture, and fingerprints, ensuring that your hardware continues to look polished even after years of use.

Internally, the mortise lock is built with strong, corrosion-resistant materials for long-term functionality. It provides smooth, secure operation, making it suitable for high-use areas in homes, apartments, and commercial buildings.

Thanks to its universal appeal and bold finish, the Optio Gun Metal lock works well with a wide range of door colors and textures—especially wood, dark laminates, and neutral palettes.

Dorset Door Locks, Closers and Smart Locks

Dorset is one of the most widely specified hardware brands in Indian homes and offices. It is also the largest range we carry: 60 products from ₹239 to ₹28,999. We stock Dorset mortise locks, handle sets, door closers, floor springs, hinges and digital smart locks. We despatch from Delhi across India.

Dorset mortise lock and handle price

Locks make up the bulk of the Dorset range here. In fact, 34 products run from ₹749 to ₹4,277. First, cylindrical locks for internal doors start at ₹749 in SS and ₹849 in antique brass. Next come the full mortise handle sets: Twirl, Deco, Vitra, Optio, Due, Flo, Pilot and Trase. These handle locks run from ₹2,288 to ₹4,277, in antique patina, silver, gold, rose gold and black-rose gold finishes. Almirah and cupboard locks, meanwhile, start at ₹320.

Dorset door closers, floor springs and hinges

Choose a surface closer by door weight. The DC-40 costs ₹1,042 and handles doors up to 40 kg. Similarly, the DC-60 costs ₹1,249 for doors up to 60 kg. The DC-80 PDC costs ₹2,149 and takes 80 kg. In addition, the DC-80 Ext WP pelmet arm closer costs ₹3,699. Concealed closers fit inside the door leaf, so nothing shows. They cost ₹4,399, ₹4,436 and ₹4,799 for the DC-40 CO, DC-65 CO and DC-85 CO. A surface closer will not work on a glass door. Instead, use a Dorset floor spring, from ₹5,218 to ₹9,512. Ball-bearing hinges, plain and fire-rated, round out the range from ₹239 to ₹349.

Dorset digital smart locks

Seven digital locks complete the range. The DG 304 drawer lock starts at ₹1,999. At the top sits the DG 205 at ₹28,999, which adds face recognition, a camera and WiFi. In between, the DG 102 and DG 104 run from ₹8,299 to ₹12,299. Finally, both come in black and champagne finishes.

Dorset Lock FAQs

What is the price range of Dorset locks at That Hardware Store?

Dorset prices here run from ₹239 for a multipurpose cupboard lock to ₹28,999 for the DG 205 digital lock with face recognition. Most mortise handle sets fall between ₹2,288 and ₹4,277, and surface door closers start at ₹1,042.

Does Dorset make locks for main doors, or only cupboards?

Both. The mortise handle sets, such as Twirl, Deco, Vitra, Optio, Due, Flo, Pilot and Trase, are full main door lock sets with a lock body, handles and cylinder. The smaller multipurpose and almirah locks from ₹320 are for cupboards and drawers, not main doors.

Should I buy a Dorset lock or a Godrej lock?

Both are well established in Indian homes. Godrej leans toward smart and digital main door locks, while Dorset's strength is breadth: mortise handle sets in five finishes, door closers rated by door weight, floor springs for glass doors, and its own seven-model digital lock range. If a matching handle finish across the house matters to you, check Dorset's five finishes first.

Do Dorset handle sets come with the lock body, or separately?

They come together. Each Dorset mortise handle set ships as one box with the lock body, both handles, the cylinder and keys, so you do not buy the handle and lock body separately.

Is Dorset a reliable lock brand?

Yes. Dorset is one of the most widely specified hardware brands in Indian homes and offices, and it is the single largest brand range we carry at 60 products. We despatch every Dorset order from Delhi across India.
