Why Choose the Dorset DC-60 Door Closer?

The Dorset DC-60 SM hydraulic door closer gives you better control over how your door shuts. It uses two valves to adjust the closing and latching speeds separately.

Automatic Door Closer for Homes and Offices

The Dorset DC-60 automatic door closer works well on medium-weight doors that people use several times a day. After someone opens the door, the closer guides it back towards the frame.

As a result, the door does not remain open unnecessarily. It also helps reduce the need to close the door manually each time.

For homes, you can use the DC-60 on suitable wooden doors, internal doors and other medium-weight doors. However, always check the door’s size and weight before choosing a closer.

The DC-60 also works well in offices, shops and other commercial interiors. For example, you can use it on suitable office doors, cabins and frequently used internal doors.

Smooth Hydraulic Closing with Adjustable Speed

A good hydraulic door closer should not simply shut the door. It should also control how the door moves.

The Dorset DC-60 SM lets you adjust the main closing speed and the final latching speed separately. Therefore, you can fine-tune the closing action to suit your door.

This controlled movement can also reduce sudden impact on the door and frame. In addition, it helps protect hinges and nearby door hardware from repeated slamming.

Door Closer for Doors Up to 60 Kg

Choosing the correct door closer according to door weight helps ensure proper performance.

The Dorset DC-60 SM handles doors weighing up to 60 kg. Therefore, it suits many medium-weight residential and commercial doors.

For a lighter door, you may need a lower-capacity model instead. On the other hand, heavier doors may require a stronger door closer.

Standard Door Closer vs Concealed Door Closer

The Dorset DC-60 SM uses a surface-mounted standard arm design. Therefore, you can see the closer body and arm after installation.

This design offers easy access for adjustment and maintenance. It also makes the DC-60 a practical choice when function matters more than hiding the hardware.

However, some interiors need a cleaner appearance. In that case, explore our range of concealed door closers. These options keep most of the closing mechanism out of sight.

Before choosing, consider the door’s weight, width, height and daily usage.
